Basically, the industry and media look at the midweek chart to see how well a song is doing in the first week of release. NCOE doing well will likely mean increased media attention, increased spins on CapitalFM, as well as a chance for the single to eventually be picked up by Radio 1 BBC.
HOW CAN YOU HELP???
If you are a fan from outside the UK, you can do one or both of the following:
1. Donate to the fan groups who are running this, so that they can buy and gift as many singles as possible. All the information on how to donate is here (just push the yellow "Donate" button):

2. Create a UK iTunes account and email your iTunes UK email to RequestAdam@aol.com so that the single gets gifted to you. It is very important that once you get the link you open and redeem the gift so that it counts towards sales. Check your spam folder, the iTunes link might go there.

We took this screen shot from the UK iTunes singles charts about 2 minutes ago, it shows NCOE at a comfortable position of number 22 on its day of release.
The even better news is that the single seems to be climbing a place every hour as news spreads across the Internet about the single and also the UK reviews for ‘Trespassing’ are starting to be published in line with its release tomorrow (July 9th.)
The single was given a great PR push when Adam appeared on the Graham Norton chat show and by Capital FM placing the track on rotation. If you want to get behind the track we always recommend requesting tracks at your local radio station – word of mouth is still a great marketing tool in music!
