Keeping Adamtopia a Great Place
June 7, 2020 by Q3
Now, more than ever, we need Adamtopia to be a glittery and golden place. And to do that, we all need to contribute to the effort.
Over the past couple of months, we have all confronted unprecidented challenges. Not only are we deal with a global pandemic and the economic devastation it is causing, but our USA members are dealing with a national "dialog" about racial justice. There is no consensus about how to confront systemic racism, the effects of implicit bias, police and justice policies, and so on. These are important topics but not topics for this forum.
I thought it was important to allow broad discussion of the topic because Adam is engaged in it, but that does not mean that this forum is an open discussion forum.
So, quite simply, you may comment about Adam and his actions and opinions as long as you abide by the Adamtopia guidelines (below).
If you post about a general issue or make a political statement, it will be removed from the forum by a moderator.
Finally, if you see a comment that does not involve Adam, please do not respond to it. Your response will be removed from the forum and it will just make more work for our forum moderators.
This forum has been around for over 10 years because we have all agreed to abide by the guidelines and have worked as a community to keep this a sane place to be. We survived the Idol Wars, multiple label changes, and countless hair styles. I hope that we are all still here is 10 more years. For that to happen, we all need to commit to abide by the guiding principles we all commit to live by.
Adamtopia Guiding Principles
Our Mission: Adamtopia is home to a community of Adam Lambert fans where they can share news, information and opinions with other Adam Lambert fans.
Our Members: Adam Lambert fans who are interested in lively, intelligent and fun discussion and analysis of Adam, his music, performances, style and almost anything else Adam-related.
Our Values:
Golden – Respect members, Adam, music and artists.
Reliable – Committed to information integrity and the truth.
Fun – “It isn’t all that deep”. Adamtopia is a place where people can relax, freely express opinions and enjoy an open dialog, or just have a bit of fun.
Glitterier – a little extra sparkle never hurts!
The Adamtopia Guidelines
This forum is a community of people who have agreed to abide by the same rules – the Adamtopia Guidelines. One of the keys to success of this forum is having simple, easy-to-follow Guidelines.
To be a member of Adamtopia...
1. You must be an Adam fan.
2. You must be respectful of other members. Feel free to express your opinion, but be glitterier and golden.
3. Strive to be funny, entertaining or informative when you post. Avoid posting something that has already been posted.
4. Never question anyone's right to post, the appropriateness of a topic or define the proper way for an Adam fan or Adamtopia Member to behave. Let the moderators do their job.
More rules will be added if the need arises but, if everyone follows these rules, we will not need a lot of rules.
No one, including Administrators and Moderators, is exempt from the Adamtopia Guidelines.
Generally, anything that is not specifically banned in the Adamtopia Guidelines is OK.
