That can't be Adam. I couldn't understand a word he was singing. I don't even like the music. Hope it is not on Trespassing. Sounds like Adam to me. The vocal is distorted, an industrial track. I would love to hear a produced version of this. Love this. Really love it!!! Great vampire music. Just a tad too soft. I want that screaming primal harmony that makes your heart beat more quickly somewhere in there. Kept waiting for that, and waited and it never came. Stayed in the soft cloud the whole song. Feels like it kinda lacks that piece of Adam that puts a little stamp on it. That - this is not just any two people singing- stamp. Please blast out somewhere in the name of freedom! Left me feeling a little sad because it's Adam and we know what he is capable of doing vocally. You just know they could do an incredible screaming harmony. Not that they always have to go there but to pull the song into extraordinary.

lakato!! Your name sounds familiar. Did you used to be on Planet Fierce? LOL, nvm, while I was rambling, you and NoAngel sorted all this out. HI!!!! Welcome!! Happy birthday Shev66 and glamplz!!!French photoshoot is not my favorite either. I think it's that the lighting is so stark and flat, like the shots where taken in an operating room or something. It's just not at all flattering on anything – the clothing, the setting, Adam ... like glaring florescents. Really bizarre for what was probably a lovely Paris hotel room. Skylar, LOOOVED your post. During a conversation this morning about why some people have a compulsion to spin worst-case scenarios, I was talking about how I think they think it protects them from pain and disappointment. If they don't have any "expectations," or they've already "anticipated the worse," they won't be hurt or disappointed. Well, I've always thought this was a sham and if people can TRULY pursue something with optimum passion and not get hurt in the process, I say more power to them. I cannot. I think to REALLY aspire to something you have to put your heart and soul into it and with that risk comes the risk of getting hurt if it doesn't work out. It's the same as a love relationship. I think all of us have been there. You have to invest. And the greater the investment, the greater the risk. Adam poured every bit of his creativity, energy, mind, heart, body and soul into this project. He is completely invested. And since we're obviously so invested in him, so are we. Of course, everyone has different definitions of what quantifies success. I think most of us agree that if he is well received and is able to keep doing what he's doing, that's major. I think most of us want the rest of the world to see what we see in that his talent and courage are exceptional and undeniable. Will that happen? Certainly not unilaterally. Adele, for all her success, isn't unilaterally loved, no one is. But I'd still love for his hard work and talent to be rewarded with all the monetary and critical accolades I think he deserves. Getting back to those who spin worst-case scenarios, IMO, it comes with risk, because it constantly throws negativity out there and often worst-case scenarios become self-fulfilling prophesies. ETA: Rabbitrabbit, yes, detachment this key. However, that has been one thing waaayy easier said then done for me. I'm still in the aspirational phase with that one. Thank you for the amazing post. Yes to the yes about self fulfilling prophesies. We all begin closing off options out of fear of trying once we feel the sting of dissappointment, embarrassment, rejection, loss. People really do have far more capabilities than they know because they are so often afraid to try or dream of more.

Re expectations for "Trespassing" - my view - 8-) Why dream if you can't dream BIG. With dreams, the sky's the limit. That's what dreaming is all about. What good is it to dream small or just mediocre. If the dream meets or exceeds the wishes, how glorious that is. If the fulfillment falls a bit short, at least the aim was high. and those are my words of wisdom for today. haha - ;D

Eff lowering expectations! In addition to the level of greatness of his album, it is we the fans who are the one's that make him as big as Adele or Katy Perry. If his fans all around the world love the freak out of him and simply can't stop themselves from sharing the awesomeness, anything can happen. Keeping in mind that bigness does not equal coolness. Adam has the cult cool card. Nothing can wash that out of his hair. (Keep the kick ass freak Adam!!) IMHO that cool card is a bigger win than any money can bring. IMHO that is a longevity card and brings the loyalty. Project pure win into the universe, don't shut it down. When we protect ourselves out of fear of failure (ours or theirs) we shut down the possibility of the dream. Adam breaks the barriers. We take part : ) Sound corny. It's not. It works. Kisses. :D :D Loved your words, Skylar! I'm just that corny. I actually FORGOT why exactly I love Adam. I want to remember, to understand how a new fan must feel, or how to inspire new fans, but I can't. I just do. Love him, I mean. It's not that I don't know, but I feel like it's too deep and too complicated at this stage that no words can do it justice. I think it was a very diverse myriad of words/songs/shows/photos/whatever-Adam-Lambert that made me a wrapped-up, ready-to-go with a ribbon on it, die-hard fan Love this! Adam just gets in there to a kinda crazy degree.

I'm smiling and nodding even tho I have absolutely no idea what you just said. I think the gist of it was that Adam possesses many "cards".

Adam breaks the barriers. We take part : ) and if by some strange chance he doesn't become the king of pop for everyone. Who the eff cares We get to know he is the king and they are simply clueless dolts. That is the way I look at it anyway. There are lots of dolts in this world. I would love for them to evolve and take part in the great future but can't change everyone. They got the short stick. Sound corny. It's not. It works. Kisses.

It is OK if you hate me from here on out for saying this. I leave this message here with love. Are you kidding? I can't think of a thing that could possibly make me hate you, Skylar (or anyone I can think of right now, with the possible exception of my lawyer--j/k, j/k--misdirected anger, lol). I love your "tuffets"! ;D night
