I remember this. After the interview appeared, Adam tweeted that he had been misquoted and that what he said was that he didn't see himself getting married in the near future. The magazine stood by their original quote, but regardless of what words Adam used, he obviously had intended to indicate that marriage was something he wasn't considering at that point in his life but he wasn't ruling out the possibility of getting married someday. At the time, I thought Adam meant what he said, but it came across as too harsh and sort of insulting to Sauli. He had to hustle to make those positive maybe noises about marriage some vague time in the future.

Well, I am not going to delete it. I did not read it as a slam against anyone personally, but as your opinion that you have read enough about the breakup, causes, meanings, etc. Cool. Some folks get tired of discussions about the GB in different pictures, others about speculated directions for the new album, still others about the new hair cut or color, etc. etc. We all have topics we scroll past and others we devour. We all take time away from ATop until a particular topic peters out, and other times where we refresh every two minutes to get all the latest news and topics. We all agree that we love the voice, the music, the man. We all agree that we want more news about Adam. We all agree that we enjoy this community of Glamberts. The rest is up for grabs. But it's been going on for days and in circles! Okay, I know I'm pushing it right now, time to shut up!
Thanks for the understanding and indulgence, cassie!

Danceygeorgia, I believe we will have new music this year. Adam is not touring the US. He feels an urgencey to get new music out. I believe RCA does too. I think brain storming ideas is a great statement. His A&R person could be lining up collaborators right now. He did FYE in 2 1/2 months & still had 5 songs he wrote on it. And it is fabulous! I am kind of expecting album 3 to be eclectic, like FYE was. I loved that interview! It made me so excited for what's to come! The SFGN interview sounds a lot like the interviews Adam did when he started to work on what became known as Trespassing. And he sure did not sound like he was rushing. This is confirmation that he has not started working on new music yet. And he has not scheduled a start date. I think this album will be faster than Trespassing because I am sure he learned a lot in the past couple of years and has more established collaborator relationships and I expect RCA A&R to be more actively engaged, but I am not expecting an album this year. I hope he puts out a single and another track, a teaser track (like OOL was for Trespassing) this year. >> Interesting CHER is on that list. Isn't that new?

At the time, I thought Adam meant what he said, but it came across as too harsh and sort of insulting to Sauli. He had to hustle to make those positive maybe noises about marriage some vague time in the future. I had the exact same impression at the time. I disagree, because "I don't see myself getting married in the future" doesn't even sound natural. It would make sense if he had been quoted as saying "I don't ever see myself getting married" but adding "in the future"? As opposed to seeing himself getting married in the past? At the time, before Adam clarified the statement with his tweet, I thought, "Well, that's a weird way to say it." Then he tweeted, and it made sense. "I don't see myself getting married in the near future" sounds natural, so even if Adam fumbled his words when he spoke to the interviewer, I believe that's what he intended to say and what he thought he had said, and I don't think he would lie in his tweet to spare Sauli's feelings. After all, he could explain himself privately to Sauli if he had to. He tweeted because he felt the magazine misrepresented his feelings to the public.

Sauli is very good about being brief and very generic/matter-of-fact when he talks about his relationship with Adam. Adam, on the other hand, tries to be matter-of-fact and then says things like "bagel and coffee" which his father turns into something. I. JUST. CAN'T. STOP. LAUGHING. SERIOUSLY!!!! rotfl-1 I might start floating around my ceiling soon, like Uncle Albert in Mary Poppins!!! It's that bad!!!!
