My memory stinks - but IF he appears in the AI finale, I guess that singing a duet with a contestant will very nicely omit the fact that he doesn't have a new single to promote? Or do the guests usually sing one of their own songs too?
IS there a "usually"? Hmmm.
And it might be nice for him to sing a duet and showcase how beautiful his tone is compared to anyone else. :D

But they appear to be offering JLo a spot to sing her new single. |

Ahhhh this is such great news! Adam did mention he has nothing to promote, and even though the world would be ecstatic to hear him sing ANYTHING I am afraid perfectionist Adam will want to do the perfect song to represent his vision at this time. I reallly really hope he says yes, and sings anything. Anything............... He was one time performed on Idol when he promoted Trevor project and he sang Aftermath. He works with Trevor Project again now and the spoke person of At&T Live Proud, so he can be on Idol again. And if he's on the Idol Finale while he doesn't have anything from his album to promote, Ken Warwick cannot claim again that Idol's helping Adam.. LOL.. when the fact that their rating's really down now. |

And it might be nice for him to sing a duet and showcase how beautiful his tone is compared to anyone else. :D Past Idol finales have been a mix mostly duets with finalists and stars, and 2 or 3 star performances usually of a current single. ETA: Adam has been on Idol two times since Ken Warrick's BS about helping Adam. And other alums have been on without anything to promote. Idol producers do not care about if someone if promoting something new or not, but Adam cares. |

Interesting news about Adam being courted to appear on the AI finale.
I'll be honest, I am no fan of AI. I didnt participate in any prior speculation about him being on the show because i really didn't care. But I love the idea of him being asked to come back for the finale; that's a whole other level for me. Lots of alumnae have performed this season, but they want big guns for the finale, and I'm perfectly ok with AI treating Adam like a big gun! (I'm not sure why that sounds kind of dirty, lol.)
No disrespect to those who are AI fans; I just don't like the show.

Coming back as an international superstar for the American Idol finale just days away from appearing as an international superstar on Chinese Idol? Priceless. |
