I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head graciejane...that makes the most sense based on what we know and he has said...but I suppose we may never be absolutely sure, which is just fine  If anyone is interested, I just read a really interesting book about a transgender girl who is an identical twin with a boy. It is newly out and available as a Kobo ebook as well as hardcopy, I assume. Nutt,Amy Ellis (2015). Becoming Nicole: The Extraordinary Transformation of an Ordinary Family Random House LLC, New York. It is well worth the read. The Author has a Pulitzer Prize from a former book. fyi |

I'm having the same problem with the album part of the poll. I can vote for the other two categories but it won't let me vote for the album, just shows the results.
I LOVE Adam's little story about his grandma. He really does accents very well. We've heard him do a number of them over the past six years. He has a knack for it, a natural ear. His mother definitely has an East Coast accent. I'd love to see him act in a role that requires some "accent" skills. His many talents have yet to be tapped. Gotta go watch some more Worcester vids.

So, my pertinent on topic question for the board:Any ideas about which of Adam's songs would be best translated to a vintage or entirely different style, using a Postmodern vocalist? I'm thinking For Your Entertainment, Evil in the Night, Fever and maybe Outlaws of Love. Oh, thank you for the postmodern jukebox! Didn't know it, and that is a great way of rethinking those songs. It is very well done too! I would love to see Ghost Town reworked, Broken Open, BTIKM, Runnin' or Trespassing. Talking about songs being reworked: I love this one (bonus: these guys are 2/5 of Pentatonix, which whom Adam is going to share a stage soon, more bonus: another little piece of Anaconda, oh and Mitch is wearing a familiar butterfly shirt) |

To me TISI is absolutely about the relationship and breakup with RCA. They asked for authenticity in his music, he created his 'baby' Trespassing and they rejected it as too real and the proceeded to destroy it with the addition of NCYE and BTIKM. Any other explainations he adds are to make it appeal to the masses and maybe to divert a bit from the real source. I think the Trespassing era was much, much harder on him than anyone realized at the time and we are slowly getting glimpses of that. I appreciate this view but can you refresh my memory of when RCA asked for authenticity? Of course so much of the change at RCA seemed to be also because of RCA leadership changes. |
