Could John get an Emmy in the role of ex producer? Do Emmys go to all the producers of a show if the show wins? I see where he got one as a co-producer for his Tony. I have no idea how these awards work. Maybe with a great show with really talented cast members, the whole show could win? I suppose he'd prefer to win for his singing/vocals in a starring role....but if he can win as an ex producer with an overall great show....seems that would work for him as well. Yes he could. But I don't see any situation where he would not want to go for lead as well. Give himself better odds to get a win and if he gets more than one even better. Just looking at the way they are promoting it, this really seems to be about a platform for him, imo. JT halftime was boring. WTF! Is every show about dancing now? I have to go back and find the Prince halftime show that everyone says was the best to see what he did. |

If the show wins, yes! Producers get that award. So he would be eligible for that & for “Best Performance” if he gets a nom. |

Thanks lyra and Lurleene and Pattihum. It's looking more and more like John Legend Superstar show. Since Shosh does his PR as well...maybe she'll give us a winky face or some kind of hint.

Just watched Prince's halftime show and in my mind it is still the best.
ETA: There is a much clearer version out there that I watched. It's all good though.

Popping in to say that was one of the most boring and, as some here have mentioned, 'underwhelming' Super Bowl performances/shows I have seen to date. JT seems like a nice person but he has never been a favorite performer of mine singing or acting. And I have never understood how some people call him sexy. He does nothing for me. I kept thinking how QAL would have had that stadium rocking and they would have blown the roof off the place! The energy/electricity would have been almost palatable!JMHO

Queen would of course kill the HT show. IT makes the most sense. With their Stadium bangers WWRY and WATC. But I Think SB target certain demos in their target audience. JT has an array of hits, so many hits. Adam would prob need a few radio hits. To convince the NFL of a Queen HT show Hopefully one day. But I See Adam doing the NA more likely.
