Popping in to say that was one of the most boring and, as some here have mentioned, 'underwhelming' Super Bowl performances/shows I have seen to date. JT seems like a nice person but he has never been a favorite performer of mine singing or acting. And I have never understood how some people call him sexy. He does nothing for me. I kept thinking how QAL would have had that stadium rocking and they would have blown the roof off the place! The energy/electricity would have been almost palatable!JMHO I did not have high expectations and I was disappointed. It would have been better if they did a tribute to Prince or just played the old Prince halftime show. In other words -- ITA. |

Not exactly I am not sure Queen fits the certain target demo. I just cant see Queen doing a HT show on their own. They could put together a great HT show with Queen and a few contemporary artists -- but that much imagination does not exist at NBC. Queen music is in so many current US TV campaigns -- maybe the #1 artists in commercial sync right now. And WATC, WWRC, AOBTD are staples at US Football games. So the music is known, Queen the band not so much. They could do a LiveAid type set, just 12-15 minutes of flat out blow your socks off rock. No extra people, no dancers. |

Yes!!! I am not a huge football fan but grew up in the Philadelphia area. Plus, my brother is a massive Eagles fan and the Eagles run literally has kept him alive. He has been waiting for a kidney transplant for 9 years a gave up hope a few weeks ago -- and stopped dialysis. He only agreed to go back for treatments so he could see the Eagles. Pats have won 5 -- so they will survive. South America????? !!!!!!!! THAT'S a surprise! Hmmm. Wonder if it's true. BTW, I thought Justin T. was just fine doing the halftime show. It was pretty much what I expected. No surprises. He's a nice guy and a decent singer. Couldn't understand what he was singing, but hey, that's just me. He dances fine, too. I love the QAL Superbowl halftime set list! But I wouldn't hold my breath that it will ever happen. Makes too much sense. LOL |
