I'm not holding out hope anymore that Adam has the part. Tho I hope he does. But it seems he is the only artist who has to be the biggest star ever to get anything. They have had numerous musicals on tv. Some have been cast with bigger stars than Adam and some have not. Adam will never be the biggest star out there so why should we wish for anything, if that is the only measure? He is a star but he may not get the part. Some fans will think it is because he is not big enough because he never is. Others will think other things could have prevented it. Like, he may not have even gone for it. Or they were looking for something else. Or someone had a better management team. If he does not get it, the only thing we will really know for sure is that he is not Judas. We will not know why, tho, some will pretend that they do know. Good points -- but why would you stop hoping for Adam to get the part? Because a reporter posted an idea about someone else getting it who is a plausible choice? Adam could get this part. It is the combination of fan certainty (not certain until it is announced) and deriding the competition that I was responding to. Luis can sing and Luis does not have the part either. Luis is a plausible choice for the part. I could list 10 recording artists who could play Judas and 1 is Adam. He is not the only person who could do it. One certainty -- whoever gets the part of Judas will not be the biggest recording artist in the world or the biggest recording star -- the biggest recording artist in the world right now is Drake. Adam is not the only artist who has to compete. It is part of the business. In this case, we do know Adam wants the part of Judas. He has said so and reconfirmed that with his social media activities. But we know he also wants other things. *** I try to hope for things for Adam without getting into the "he just has to get this" mode. I learned a lot about these fan speculations by getting wrapped up in the Idol judges picks a couple of times. Since then, I have not gotten on these "roller coasters." If he gets it, great. If not, he has other opportunities. So about getting wrapped up in Adam getting something -- I did that twice with Idol and not doing it again. *** Regarding fans being sure of why he didn't get something -- it's what fans do. They care, analyze and speculate. Just part of the "job." It won't go away. *** I have stayed relatively quiet on the "Adam as Judas" speculation because this is not a "career-making" moment for anyone. There is very little in the "career-making" category anymore.

Are the feet big enough?! LOL!! That photo shoot, though, had more people. I thought it was probably DNCE ?? Got it. Obviously I haven't kept up on the latest in pop music lately.

There are songs that I think of as gestalt or more than the sum of their parts. This is one. Often, as is the case with Uptown Funk (2.9 billion views) and even Gangham Style (3.0 billion views), it is the rhythm and video that unite the melody and lyric making it accessible and just plain feel good. You want to move, dance, play, and have fun. I highlighted rhythm because I think there is something atavistic about these songs as they sync to a natural internal pulse of the body that transcends language and lyrics. Here is a list of the top ten music videos and none of them are slow ballads: www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/0/most-watched-youtube-videos-of-all-time/ They are different styles and languages, but they all have a great video and rhythm that goes straight to the core. As for Despacito (4.7 BILLION views in the original Spanish version), Justin Beiber did not make this song big, it was already huge in enough of the world and he hopped on with a remix (607 million views) that took it higher in English language countries. And just to put in my plaintive cry for what could perhaps have been, I have always thought Shady had this gestalt, especially if it had a kick-ass video. Thanks for this rather educational post. Now I know why I do connect to some songs instantly, especially when working out to them. I totally agree on SHADY!!! It was love at first listen for me, and I still can't get over the fact that it was never a single and only remained a fan favorite. I’ve read articles about how long a listener gives a song to catch their interest before they skip it. A few years back it was around 14 seconds, I expect it is even shorter now. Shady was one of the few songs Adam has put out that had that immediate hooking potential. Evil In the Night is another.

She stayed about a week, tweeted when she left. Thanks I already found that tweet. The shoot I'm referring to was on February 2nd though. Only one pair of shoes. But those can't be Adam's if Shosh isn't in LA, right? No indication that she is currently in LA. As I noted in a follow up response there is a possibility that Adam is not in LA. The company, however, has more than one fashion forward client, but having watched her unprofessional bait tweeting for years, I put this being Adam in the possible category. and no I am not excited that he has decided to punch the repeat button with Edge.

I hope Sara's fans did not think that cause they were wrong. She was big enough. They have had numerous musicals on tv. Some have been cast with bigger stars than Adam and some have not. That's why I'm thrilled with more QAL! It's been a plus for Adam's career. He's a proven solo star and front man with the chops to handle it all!

I am literally shocked that that song was the biggest hit of any year. I don't hear anything special. It is just because it's Spanish? And just to put in my plaintive cry for what could perhaps have been, I have always thought Shady had this gestalt, especially if it had a kick-ass video. It's the most watch music video in YouTube history. It has an awesome number of views. Most of those views are after the release of the remix version in April 2017 so hard to separate the effect of Bieber on the song's popularity. It was not a global hit before the remix. And it's now a big hit is China with the Mandarin version. quartzy.qz.com/1196359/luis-fonsis-global-hit-despacito-now-has-a-mandarin-version-featuring-jj-lin/With that, Latin music faces barriers in the U.S. It did win the Grammy for Song of the Year -- and without the Bieber remix, it would not have gotten airplay on Mainstream US Radio.

Things that make you go hmmmm and points to the above post... Possible, a rash of IG activity a few days ago (as he does when waiting around an airport or bored), Another batch last night. SS commented about a busy Saturday and worded the tweet in current tense, so not as if this was from the LA visit. She noted those shoots were Legend, Cabello, and Tedder. There is also DNCE in the mix during that visit. It is possible he made a quick trip for photos. May be I am the only one who remains clueless, but please can you help me out with this rather cryptic abbreviation above? Got it.

IMHO Shoshanna/Edge has been a great pr agent for Adam.. He has had tons of press through her. She seems to have a nice personal relationship with him.. To note, I think she keeps him on time for appointments and I noticed , she literally moves him about for TV interviews.. Very hands on... LOL
