Adam knows about bigotry first hand, having experienced it himself.. I don't think he needs to be lectured.. whether you buy his music or not has little to do with his standing up for freedom and Democracy for all in our country..We are on a very thin line to losing our freedoms.. Black lives Matter and the demonstrations are for all of us all of us who want to be free.Adam being Adam has been fighting for justice all the time I have known of him.. He also puts his time, energy and his money where his mouth is..My respect for Adam knows no bounds.. To me he is what the world needs now...Human dignity ,worth, humility and compassion.. If you have a problem with that, well that's your problem.

First of all I have been here since the beginning and I am here for the music, not to be lectured about values. Secondly every news outlet edits videos, if you don't believe me try flipping through several channels covering the same event every channel presents and event the way they want their viewers to see it and the only way for Adam or anyone else to find out what is really going on is to be there in person to see for themselves. I don't have the passion about it that Adam does so I won't be attending a protest, but if he is that passionate he should see it first hand before tells the rest of us how we should think. So many people are filming the same scenes and unlike an Adam or QAL concert almost everyone is likely to share and not just keep it to themselves. We will see multiple shots of the same scene with longer pre & post footage. So most things will be much more documented than the 8+ minute video of Floyd's death. Adam is also getting local news which is going to have different shots as well as longer interviews with participants. My 80 year old dad is sitting here with me telling me about when he was a teenager and saw a cop beating and pulling a man out of a car in front of him. No video in those days of course.

It’s a tough time to find “the glittery.” I will say, if I can, that I love to see Adam’s friend and brother sticking up so vociferously for his right to express himself. This is world-wide, this is history. It’s big. I do not expect or want Adam to take himself to the streets - I wish no one had to - but there are many ways to express and support a movement against racism and police brutality and Adam is doing plenty. Adam is no hypocrite.

My 19 year old granddaughter, who lives with me,is protesting here in Asheville,NC every day,in fact she was gassed two days ago,but continues to go back day after day. She's pretty upset with our local police, because the protests have been very peaceful for the most part. Our mayor broke down in tears over some of the police force.. She said ,to paraphrase. They are supposed to be here to protect, not hurt people. The police also pulled all water bottles away from folks offering help to the protesters.. We have an 8 oclock curfew ,amazing for a a small mountain town. Trust me I'm worried about granddaughter getting hurt or jailed and also worried about the cornovirus. To add :I think Adam is courageous . To me,He is a highly empathetic human being, who cares deeply for equality and fairness. Sounds like you have an amazing determined granddaughter, melliemom! I'm so damned impressed with the young folks out there on the streets. Yesterday I read it was six young teen girls (ages 14-16) who organized the 10,000 person march in Nashville! These young kids are a force to be reckoned with! Praying your granddaughter stays safe through all of this. I know you must be terribly worried, but I know you must be proud of her, too.

I don’t post often but I visit Adamtopia everyday for Adam news. Just wanted to thank Q3 for this home and voice support for Adam. He’s done exactly what I thought he would do which is standing up for what he thinks is right even if he loses some fans in the process. He is an intelligent, passionate and beautiful human being who deserves my 100% respect ❤️❤️❤️

I could be wrong, and I am sure I will be told if I am, but didn’t Adam only respond about insurance to people who were telling him he should give his money to people whose businesses were harmed? I feel people don’t need to tell him how to donate his money - and no one is stopping them from donating their money that way if they are moved to. I thought Adam in his typical, straightforward way, made it clear he thinks there are protestors and there are looters/vandals and that he obviously supports the former.

So proud of our young people. My young nieces have been marching in Portland and Seattle, and it is hard to not be concerned for their safety. All in the middle of a pandemic, but it is the right thing to do. My marching days are a thing of the past, but I can contribute to bail funds.

It is difficult to be glittery and golden at this time. And, as Q3 said, reacting to things Adam is saying and posting is what we do on this forum. I am not advocating to cease that.
What I am advising regards responding to postings from other members. Please no attacking or name calling or making judgemental comments about their posts. When you write "YOU think..." or "YOU seem to...." or "YOU want..." or "YOU are...." it crosses the line. It becomes personal, and, if you feel compelled to confront the member, it should go in a PM, not on the public forum. Please confine your public posts to "I think..." "I see..." "My experience..."
The guidelines of this forum state: "4. Never question anyone's right to post, the appropriateness of a topic or define the proper way for an Adam fan or Adamtopia Member to behave. Let the moderators do their job. " Yeah, I know, it seems that I am violating this one, but I am acting as a designated mod for the forum, which it says is my job.
If you think a member has overstepped the guidelines that Q3 has initiated, please report it to one of the mods rather than confronting it on the public forum. There is usually a mod on the forum throughout the day. To report a post, look at the upper right corner for the arrow down next to the gear. Click on it and select "report".
Thanks.

In keeping the discussion just on Adam and his words....he has said he opposes the rioting and looting, etc, but then adds "dont they have insurance" which means IMO that part isn't of much concern to him. Being a small bus owner and the daughter of parents who were small bus owners...insurance doesn't cover everything and in this case many of these inner city businesses are black owned and serve their community and I bet are under insured, etc. Another thing that kinda annoys me is he keeps calling fans and posters ignorant which tends to remind the deplorables of the progressive elite culture. Having said that....I still love him and understand his frustration. I also think he must be frustrated over Covid and how that messed with his promo and concert dates for him and QAL. and almost a year's income. I'm glad he said his rant was therapeutic. I'll agree with you and ceecee on this in that saying "they're insured" is not a good reason. Reminds me of going to the doc and asking how much for an xray and they say - why do you care, you are insured aren't you? There's a whole level of education needed for everyone about insurance, (great career for women btw) deductibles, premium increases, adjuster bonuses, executive pay, catastrophic insurance for the regular insurance carrier. But I also agree that there is a difference between vandalism and violence.
